Development of the Questionnaire on Palliative Care for Cancer Patients’ Time Perception
Autori
Description
Both concepts of ‘temporality’ and ‘perception of time’ are crucial in the end of life. Terminal illness is associated to a perception of limited time and increases patient’s need to find meaning of the remaining time. Health professionals’ awareness of the meaning patients attach to their time can contribute to help decreasing their psychological and spiritual suffering. Tools able to investigate how imminent death changes time perception of patients in palliative care are lacking. This study aimed at developing a questionnaire to assess time perception of patients in palliative care .
